PRESS RELEASE: European Commission Supports
Formation of 'European Network for Accessible Tourism'

OSSATE is pleased to announce that the European Commission has given its support to EWORX S.A., Greece (as Coordinator) and 8 transnational partners to form a new membership organisation for actors and stakeholders in the tourism sector: The 'European Network for Accessible Tourism' (ENAT).

Based on an open call for projects on the theme of "Mainstreaming disability policies", the partners propose to develop ENAT over the coming 2 years to become an independent, inclusive organisation, led and run by its members along democratic, representative lines, serving the interests of its members and all travellers who need and value accessible tourism.

The idea for this new Network arose from discussions at the OSSATE International Workshop held in London in May 2005. The co-founders and partners of ENAT include seven of the OSSATE partners.
